Walking between pubs (and stopping at them) for Gavin's and Heather's 50th Birthdays
We hope you will join us as we walk, eat and drink our way around the Chilterns to celebrate two 50th birthdays and 20 years since we met. Let us know what appeals from our itinerary below. Feel free to book to stay in the same pubs as us if you would like to, or meet us for lunch and a walk ... whatever works for you.
Please let me know if you plan to join us for meals (particularly over the Easter weekend), so I can make bookings. We don't plan to eat much at lunchtimes because we expect to be eating large breakfasts! But we will stop for a drink and a chat with anyone who plans to join us in the proposed pubs.
On Easter Sunday we won't be having a big Sunday lunch, but I have pre-ordered some very light bar snacks, to be specially laid on for us in the bar at the Flower Pot at 12.30pm.
Joshua and Leo will be walking with us and would be very glad of the company of younger friends and family as well as 'oldies'!
We can play live music at the Fox at Ibstone, so I hope April 3rd (Good Friday) evening will work for musician friends; bring your instruments!
Please don't think about bringing gifts; we could't carry anything extra anyway! We just hope to see friends and family for chatty walks and relaxed beers.
If you really want to give something beyond your presence, Heather is heavily involved as a volunteer in supporting families with breastfeeding through La Leche League, and you can donate to her local LLL Hertfordshire group funds here.
